Pine Welsh Dresser
This enormous pine Welsh dresser was a client’s own commission, and dominated their dining room completely. A top-to-toe transformation was required, so after choosing the colour palette of dove grey/blue with hot pink and gold accents, the huge task of dismantling and refinishing began. A custom- taped geometric design was applied to the lower doors, along with new hexagonal solid brass hardware.
Each shelf was carefully edged in pink and gold, then the upper and lower parts were bordered in gold, before gilding the inner edge of each upper glass door. The finishing touch was the addition of new cabinet lighting, so that the whole piece provides a lovely focal point and an ambient glow for their new dining room.
