This antique oak sewing table was a client’s own commission, an heirloom which she couldn’t part with but definitely lacking in style. The outside was kept simple with a sophisticated new charcoal and gold look, with a custom stencilled design applied to the lid in a combination of gold and copper. Inside the stained silk innards were removed and new fresh linings added, which were then painted in hot mustard, with the final touch being a splash of cheerful wildflower paper.
